The Maroon Line
If you're around the Band very long, you will hear us talk a lot about the Maroon Line.
What is that, you may ask?
The Maroon Line connects the present Bands of Owen to not only the past Bands here at Owen High School, but also to all the future Bands at Owen High School. We know that since 1955 there have been great band members, dedicated band directors, and hard-working band parents here in the Valley. We owe all of them a huge debt of gratitude for our current successes. We also know that long after this group of students, directors, and parents have moved on that there will still be great bands at Owen High School. Our responsibility as a current member of the Bands of Owen is to "hold our place" in that Long Maroon Line. Honoring the Past, striving for continued Excellence in the present, and building the Future of the Band.
